WITH THE SUPPORT OF
ONLUS Campagna Italiana Contro le Mine

The artist worked on this project for three years; this fourth and final phase documents the entire project, from the opening of the first exhibition to the screenings of the video-reportage created in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the exhibition period, funds were raised to support the Campaign Against Mines.

I WAS A FOOTBALL PLAYER is art that becomes a means of protest and supports social impact works. Producing a mine costs only a few euros, while demining costs about a thousand.
I WAS A FOOTBALL PLAYER represents the strength and ability to unite an indefinite number of people through art, with the fundraising itself being an integral part of this effort, as they come together to move and work toward the same goal.
