On the occasion of the presentation of the book ASSAB ONE 2002–2022 at the Morioka Shoten Gallery, a small bookshop in Tokyo that focuses its attention on a single publication at a time on a weekly rotation basis: “a single room with a single book”, Assab One produced ITALIA – INDIA Trasloco di una macchina da stampa (ITALY – INDIA Transfer of a printing press).
The limited edition of 100 stamped and numbered copies recounts, through drawings by Nathalie Du Pasquier, the journey of the Roland Ultra printing press, which until 2012 had been at the core of Assab One’s activities.
When La Roland Ultra leaves Milan for India, her now new home, Nathalie Du Pasquier recounts, in her unmistakable style, the people and moments that accompanied her, and the void she left behind after living there for more than 50 years.
