Nothing To Lose is not meant to be an empty critique of those who “made ’68,” nor does it aim to generalize or trivialize an entire generation. The integrity, commitment, drive to act and change, and the creative energy of those who truly shaped 1968—protagonists of cultural and human revolutions—deserve nothing but respect and admiration.
Rather, Nothing To Lose is a kind of creative déjà vu, a revealing dream, or perhaps a post eventum reflection. Above all, it is an invitation—extended to both younger and older generations—to take only the best of ’68 (because there was much good) and avoid repeating its mistakes, so that today we may truly begin to change tomorrow. Ultimately, it is a hymn to hope—a rebellious, loud hope. A hope that doesn’t wait for things to change on their own, but one that takes the initiative, working on the front lines to (try to) improve the society we live in.
The artistic language of Biokip Gallery is a fusion of different techniques and styles, generating an innovative and vibrant creative harmony. Artists, graphic designers, illustrators and street artists, photographers and video-makers from diverse cultural backgrounds work side by side, with each one’s techniques complementing and enhancing the others’. The result is an artistic satura lanx that speaks through interactive video installations, papercuts, surround sound effects, words, images, and a range of other immersive installations
