Piano Alto was a project held in the heart of Berlin, in a place that was both public and private, and to which artists and guests were invited by post without any hint of the location being given on-line.

In a conversation with Elena Quarestani, Flavio de Marco had discussed the idea of an artificial island on an Asian land. The island was modelled on another island already described by Flavio in his book ‘Stella’.
