Born in Berlin in 1939, Franz Egon von Fürstenberg worked with designer Pierre Cardin as his assistant in Paris and then with photographer Alain de Ferron in Geneva, where met and married Adelina Cüberyan, his life-long partner. Over the years he collaborated with a number of artists and exhibition spaces all over the world and published his photographs on magazines and arts catalogues. Egon’s photographic archives testimony of an important memory as they contribute to understanding the origins of arts encounters and collaborations, and at the same time of developments of the last decades of contemporary art.
